Harmonic motion

The mass of a part of a machine is $m$ measured in kg. The motion of this part is described be the function,

$ x(t)= A \cos (\omega t+ \phi)$ [m].

Here $A$ is the amplitude of the motion, $\omega$ is the angular frequency measured in rad/s, and $\phi$ is the phase. This is called simple harmonic motion.

$\frac{x}{A}$

$\frac{2\pi t}{\omega}$

What is the total force on this part as a function of time?

$F(t)=$ [N]
