Superposition of wave pulses

Often waves satisfy the linear superposition principle where it is possible to simply add waves together. Various pulse forms can be loaded into the simulation below to see how they add together. Example (d) shows that when a left-moving harmonic wave meets a right-moving harmonic wave, the result is a standing wave.
